📊 Markdown to Excel
What Is Markdown?
Markdown is a lightweight markup language used to format text using simple syntax. It is widely used in GitHub repositories, documentation websites, technical blogs, knowledge bases, and developer tools.
Unlike HTML, Markdown is easy to read and write while still allowing structured content such as headings, lists, links, code blocks, and tables.
Why Convert Excel to Markdown?
Excel spreadsheets are excellent for storing and managing data, but Markdown tables are often preferred when publishing data in documentation, README files, technical articles, and GitHub projects.
- Share data in GitHub repositories
- Create documentation tables
- Publish technical articles

How Excel to Markdown Conversion Works
During conversion, the tool reads rows and columns from your Excel spreadsheet and transforms them into Markdown table syntax. Each row becomes a Markdown table row, while column headers become the table headings.
The generated Markdown can be used directly in GitHub README files, documentation systems, static websites, and markdown editors.
